FIREPROOF PANEL MADE FROM SAFE NATURAL MATERIALS

Global innovation in heat insulation and sound absorbing products for buildings and housing are being offered as alternative products for architects and engineers. This innovative product is made from rice straw and paper pulp. The rice straw and pulp are mixed in the ratio of 1: 1 to 4: 1 and fed in for compression moulding. The material is soaked in a solvent, fire-retardant solution and then put into the curing and drying process. The final product would be lightweight with a density of 0.12 – 0.18 g/cm3. It has a maximum tensile strength of 150 newtons per centimetre and a thermal conductivity coefficient of only 0.028 – 0.088 watts. The reaction to fire test or calorific value is by ISO 5657: 1997. This innovation added the value of rice straw by more than 70-fold.
